　　Air hostesses and in flight staff gave me a first surprise in my travel to China,With very beautiful manners, showed us the seats, and made sure our carry on luggage was secured, and pillows/blankets were provided, with no fuss or arguments. It was very long flight, but those girls were made of steel and tireless, and made sure that we are comfortable during the flight, food, snacks, and water, were abundant. They kept coming again to check, and recheck that each passenger was comfortable, mostly were Chinese but for them there was no discrimination, we were treated as good as Chinese.

　　当我第一次登上来中国的飞机，机组人员的服务态度和专业水平给我留下了深刻的印象。他们服务态度很好，把我们带到座位上并且替我们放好行李，还主动提供了毯子。整个飞行过程真的非常人性化，尽管是长途飞行，但这些服务人员简直像是铁打的一样，丝毫没在他们脸上看到倦态，整个途中他们都服务得非常到位，来回确保我们乘客是否乘坐舒适，美食、小吃、水都供应充足，虽然我们是外国的游客，但他们对待我们就像对待自己的同胞一样，让我对这次的航空体验十分满意。

　　When I first time visited these temples Grand Buddha of Ling Shan, and Jingci Temple of Hangzhou, I was in total surprise. I being from Indian origin left shame after seeing the reverence from Chinese devotees, and kindness of Monks. I have seen lot of things in life, but I never ever ever seen such grand temple, and reverence to any Lord of Lords, no matter what religion. Statue of Lord Buddha is like a mountain, the biggest in China, and most likely in the world.

　　当我第一次目睹了灵山大佛，看到了杭州的净慈寺，我完全惊呆了：信男善女和僧人们对信仰的虔诚，让我自愧不如。虽然我来自印度，古老的佛教之国，但在我们国家，从没有过如此恢弘的寺庙，如同大山一样的佛像......这份对信仰的虔诚，让我由衷感到敬佩。

　　People in Hangzhou are truly some of the friendliest and most extraordinarily kind-hearted people you will meet. And I do not mean this the way everyone says so about every country. They embrace you with open arms and no matter how little Chinese you speak, your attempts at even a "Hello”is met with an exclamatory “Oh my! Your Chinese is so good”.This is in stark contrast to the west where the most valiant attempts at French or English are often scoffed at. Chinese people will go out of their way to help you, translate for you, even gesture wildly at you and give you (sometimes unwarranted) advice. A lot of the time, its because they genuinely appreciate your coming to their country and making an effort to learn.

　　在杭州，你会碰到很多热心肠的人，杭州人是真的很友好!我并非随口一说，在杭州，人们会热情得拥抱你，不管你的中文是好是坏。你可能只是怯生生地说一句“你好”，他们会热情地回应你“哎呀你的中文这么好啊！”而在一些法语或者英语国家，他们的当地人并不会这样友善对待你（蹩脚）的口语，差别实在太明显了。

　　这里的人会用他们自己的方式帮助你，比如会帮你口头翻译，甚至通过一些肢体语言让你理解，有时他们也会给你一些善意的小建议。他们这样做，无非是因为真诚地欢迎你来到他们的国家，欢迎彼此之间的学习和文化交融。

　　广场舞 The evening dances in the moonlight

　　This was truly one of the most mesmerizing things to me, as a visitor. Women and men line up in parks, on street corners, in public spaces, at universities in the evenings, wherever they can find space, and dance in unison. Old women, young men, couples, you name it. Beijing, Shanghai, Qingdao, every Chinese city I've been to, its the same. Perfectly in line, perfectly coordinated.

　　对于我一个到杭州旅游的游客来讲，广场舞这个东西真的是太迷人了。好多人在公园，在街角，在任何场所，只要他们能找到地方，到了晚上，就开始一起跳舞。不管是男人还是女人，年轻人还是老年人，都能跳得步伐一致，节奏统一，挺好看的。这个舞好像在中国每个城市都有，北京、上海、青岛都有，简直是完美！

　　One of my Chinese friend gave me a can of Spring Green Tea (famous, Longjing tea), I made my self a cup of it, and have learned a lot of making a Longjing Tea. If you brewed it in too hot water or too long, maybe the tea tasted bitter. Use water that's 75-80℃ (165-175oF) and depending on how much tea don't brew it too long. If you take just a teaspoon (hard to measure that way with long jing as the leaves are big) for one cup then brew it for about 2-3 minutes.

　　Long jing tends to be very forgiving with how you treat it and many people leave it in water for long times and sip from it and refill the water, but the main point is never to use boiling hot water. If you put just a pinch of leaves in a big glass of water then it shouldn't matter how long you let it sit. I love the taste of Longjing tea, and thanks my friend for sending me such a wonderful gift.

　　我的一个中国朋友送了我一罐龙井茶。我自己动手泡了一杯并且去学习了如何正确地泡茶。泡茶也是门学问，比如水太烫，或者泡制时间过长，很可能导致茶水的口感变得涩涩的，不好喝。水温应当在75℃-80℃左右，具体要看你放多少茶叶。一般来说，一茶匙的茶叶放入一杯水中，两到三分钟就好了。

　　龙井茶其实很好泡，大多数人只是放进热水里静置一会儿，然后喝一口，然后再加水，也很好喝。只要加入的水不要过烫就行，时间无所谓的。我实在太喜欢龙井茶的口感了，在此要谢谢我的朋友。

　　I am a student from Zhejiang University, The huge roads and infrastructure gave me deep impression when i first arrive at Hangzhou.Even more when you're from Europe, you'll be flabbergasted by the 8-lanes highways every two blocks, the skyscrapers and the parks. Everything is 10x the normal size.

　　我是浙江大学的一名留学生，刚到杭州的时候让我印象最深的是中国的大马路和完善的基础设施。你知道吗？就算你来自欧洲这样的发达国家，也会被八车道的马路，如此大的公园和二十多层的建筑看得目瞪口呆。
